Do I have to register?
It depends on your supports and who pays. SIL and NDIS digital platforms need registration from 1 July 2026. Existing unregistered SIL providers must apply by 1 October 2026 to keep operating while the Commission decides.4
Personal care and other supports are expected to follow in stages from 1 July 2027. The details are still to be published.5

Who writes the policies?
CareHelm drafts each section from your answers, using the official NDIS Practice Standards. AI can make mistakes, so each section stays DRAFT until you approve it.
Where is my data stored?
Your business data and files are stored in Google Cloud, Sydney region. Sign-in uses Google Firebase Authentication, which stores your email address and name and processes sign-in in the United States. Payments go through Stripe.
Usage statistics go to Google Analytics, with no personal or health information. We warn you if you type a participant's name.
Can my staff use it on their phone?
Yes. Staff get a personal link by text or email. They sign policies, upload certificates and see only their own documents.
I already have policies. Can I use them?
Yes. Upload it and tick the requirements it covers. Your audit pack marks it as your own document.
What happens to my documents if I cancel?
You can export everything at any time, and for 90 days after your plan ends. Registered providers must keep records, so keep a copy.
